Chicago

One of Scott's closest friends is getting married in Chicago in September. We both have enough airmiles to get our tickets for free. I booked them this week while they were still available, and we ended up getting them "cheaper" than expected. Normally it takes at least 25,000 miles for a free ticket, but this time it was only 18,750. What a savings!

The wedding should be nice. It's at a fancy hotel and thus will be like a second honeymoon for us since we will be married by then. And we'll have plenty of time to tool around downtown and visit all the sites. The downside is that the Cubs are out of town that weekend. I will still have to go and visit Wrigley Field.

One cool fact: The guys are all wearing kilts because the groom is from Scotland/Ireland. That should be neat.

Not even married yet and you're already talking second honeymoon. I like that.
