Traveling
We have been quite the travelers lately. June 1 we went to OKC for a short visit. Last weekend we had to make a last minute trip to El Paso, and tomorrow we are going to Abilene for the day. Then we'll be home for two weekends before we head up north for July 4th.
There was a mazda rotary meet in OKC that weekend. We combined it with a trip to see my friends. We couldn't' see everyone, but we did have a great visit with some. Interesting note: the car meet was at the Sheriff's training area where there is a track. A lot of people rode around on it. We didn't. I think the Sheriffs told the police we were going to be there. There was a cop waiting for us when we left, and he ticketed Scott. We know for a fact we weren't speeding, but what are you going to do? You can't do anything. If you argue with the cop, the ticket gets worse. I think he locked his radar on someone else and just waited for one of the Mazda drivers to come down that road. Oh well!
Scott's aunt has had cancer for a while, and we received word last week that she was finally going into hospice. Being that El Paso is so far away we decided to see her last weekend rather than wait to say goodbye at a funeral. It was good to see her. And a lot of Scott's other aunts and uncles were there, so it was great to see everyone. I knew after seeing her that she probably wouldn't last the week. We received word that she passed away this morning. Please keep them all in your prayers. It is never easy to lose someone you love. We are thankful we could see her again.
Then my parents arrived on Tuesday for a visit. Mid-week visits are tough because I have to work during the day, but my dad wanted to come and he has to work on the weekends. We really enjoyed our time together nonetheless. We watched a few movies on our big screen, played with Wallace, watched Mom sleep (she got sick), and had a great time hanging out.
Tomorrow we head to Abilene for a car show. I think this one is classic cars and stuff.
Wallace has gone everywhere with us, and I will say again that he is the best travel dog ever! Even on the 11 hour journey to El Paso! He's awesome!

Sorry for your loss. Have fun on the road trips!
I'm sorry to hear that she passed away. We will keep everyone in our prayers. Maybe you can sqeeze in a weekend for us to come up and visit.
